In this tutorial, we will show you how to install and create a WordPress website using the XAMPP server on your computer in some steps.

if you install and operate a WordPress site on your local host for development purposes of your website, initially you want to follow this start-up process

1. a server software – XAMPP is a server software that makes it easy for you to build a WordPress website locally – you must down load and install on your PC from web server website.
2. WordPress software – you can download WordPress files from the WordPress.org web portal and click on the Download WordPress button

First, you must download word press from WordPress.org then you must start your XAMPP server.

Go to google –>type in “WordPress” in the search bar–> select WordPress free download

 

 

• Now, download the WordPress zip file on your computer.
• Double-click on the download zip file to extract the file.
• Copy and paste the WordPress file  to the htdocs folder in the XAMPP folder

path -> C:\program file\Xampp\htdocs folder

 

Copy the WordPress file

Open  C drive –> XAMPP folder –>htdocs folder

Paste the WordPress file here (htdocs folder)

 

If you want to rename, you can rename the WordPress file for easy identification of your website

 

Create a database

let’s create a database your WordPress site

Go to the XAMPP dashboard and go to PHP myadmin

Create a new database for the WordPress website

 

Note – Remember the database name used  to configure WordPress

We named it wp1

 

Configure WordPress and connect the database

Then go to the htdocs folder in XAMPP folder

C drive -->xampp folder-->htdocs folder-->open your wordpress file

 

Then configure WordPress and connect the database

wp-config-sample.php file is renamed to wp-config.php

Open   wp-config.php and configure the database name, username and password

Afterward,  configure the WordPress file.

Then save the wp-config.php file

 

Install WordPress

Open the browser and type “http://localhost/examplewp” in the address bar and press enter

 

Enter the site title and email address

Then, click install WordPress

Now, once WordPress installation is complete, you can log in to WordPress and create a blog.
