How to install and configure the Updraft Plus plugin
In this tutorial, we will describe how to install and configure the UpdraftPlus plugin.
Updraft Plus is a WordPress plugin that has many functions including backup, restore and migration, etc..
More facilities are available on the paid (pro) version
You should install this plugin along with your WordPress website to back up your hard work.
Login to your WordPress site, if you are an admin
Then click on the Plugins tab on the left side of the menu bar
Then click on “AddNew”
In the search bar, type in “updraft plus” and then press enter.
Find “updraft plus” and then click on the “Install Now” button
Once the installation is complete, click on the “activate” button.
Once the installation is complete, you have to configure the updraft plus plugin.
On the left side menu bar, click on the “setting” tab and then click on “Updraftplus Backup”
Here, the updraft plus backup, restore, and migration page will appear.
Go to the “setting” menu and select “remote storage”.
Click ON setting tab
Select a “remote location” for backup such as Dropbox, google drive, amazon s3, etc
Here, we have selected Dropbox as the backup for WordPress blog
Currently, there is no backup
Click the “Backup Now” button to back up.
We want to back up all the files(including theme, database, plugins, and related files)
Currently, the backup is on progress.
Backup is completed
UpdraftPlus will automatically back up your WordPress website or blog before you make any changes or update to your post, pages, plugins, or themes. it is help to avoid loss or damage to your website.
